The so-called "Andreas Kalcker Protocol" promotes the oral ingestion, inhalation, and rectal administration of chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) and its precursors as a universal treatment for diseases as diverse as Autism Spectrum Disorder, malaria, cancer, and COVID-19. This report critically reviews the toxicological evidence, the postulated mechanisms of action, the methodology of the promotional studies, the legal challenges to the protocol in various jurisdictions, and the rulings of the main pharmacovigilance agencies. Chemical and pharmacokinetic analysis shows that the protocol's pseudoscientific arguments—pH selectivity, purported optimization of the Bohr effect, and targeted damage to the viral glycan shield—lack thermodynamic and physiological support, while systemic exposure to the compound produces documented hematological, gastrointestinal, and renal damage. The case studies include infant and adult deaths in Argentina, criminal convictions in the United States against leaders of the Genesis II Church of Health and Healing, and charges of practicing medicine without a license in several Latin American jurisdictions. The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the FDA, the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS), the Federal Commission for Protection against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS), and the National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT), among other agencies, have issued health alerts and explicit prohibitions. It is concluded that the protocol constitutes a transnational health fraud whose mitigation requires sustained legal prosecution, effective regulation of digital platforms, and scientific literacy policies.
